Physical Therapist
• Current Minnesota licensure as a physical therapist required. Eating-disorder experience preferred, but not required. An interest or passion for working with eating disorder population a plus. 3+ years as a PT or related health and wellness field. Experience collaborating with other therapy services strongly preferred.
• Physical Therapy is a new addition to The Emily Program! In addition to the above requirements, we are looking for someone with an innovative mind and ability to see how physical therapy can be incorporated into the way The Emily Program provides healing for our clients. This person will be involved in providing personalized therapy for under-eaters and compulsive over-eaters. Will work closely with other staff, including Therapists, Psychiatrists, and Registered Dietitians, to provide the best possible care. Will be involved in deciding what kind of equipment is needed for the program.

The position requires traveling in the mornings to day cares, schools, and homes and office based therapy in the afternoons/evenings.
We are open from 9:00am to 8:00 Monday through Thursday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Fridays, and 9:00am to 2:00pm Saturdays. The schedule will be determined based on caseload need and may be structured into 4 10-days or 5 8-hour days. Evening hours are needed, but may not necessarily be needed every evening. Qualifications:
* Valid state license or equivalent in Occupational Therapy (OT).
* Successfully completed a Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited therapy program, Master degree is preferred.
* Able to apply as a Medicaid and Medicare provider.
* Requires effective communication skills for working with patients, families, caregivers, and departmental and interdepartmental relationships.
* Requires competency in occupational therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.
*Bilingual is preferred, but monolingual English will be considered

In this role, you will provide prescribed treatments concerned with improving or restoring clients' ability to function independently in accordance with the Plan of Treatment while performing the following duties:
Provide services and education/training to clients following the Physician and the supervising O.T. plan of care and the specific functions identified in the therapy care plan
Evaluate the effectiveness of the current plan and client progress
Document all services provided, observations, client progress and recommendations according to established policy; submit documentation to the facility per guidelines
Report changes to the Program Director and/or Occupational Therapist in a timely manner
Participate in interdisciplinary activities per Facility guidelines
Attend client case conferences as needed to provide information to other members of the team
