Occupational Therapy Assistant
In this role, you will provide prescribed treatments concerned with improving or restoring clients' ability to function independently in accordance with the Plan of Treatment while performing the following duties:
Provide services and education/training to clients following the Physician and the supervising O.T. plan of care and the specific functions identified in the therapy care plan
Evaluate the effectiveness of the current plan and client progress
Document all services provided, observations, client progress and recommendations according to established policy; submit documentation to the facility per guidelines
Report changes to the Program Director and/or Occupational Therapist in a timely manner
Participate in interdisciplinary activities per Facility guidelines
Attend client case conferences as needed to provide information to other members of the team
Promote referrals to other disciplines as appropriate
Attend staff meetings and continuing education programs
Promote personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers
Demonstrate knowledge of safety and infection control practices by compliance with facility policies and procedures
Assess environment and initiates actions to prevent accidents and promotes safety
Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
Protect written confidential documents in a manner that prevents unauthorized access
Accept responsibility in accordance with the role of Occupational Therapy-Assistant
Provide services in accordance with applicable state and federal standards
Accept responsibility for personal and professional development and identify learning and developmental needs
Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months experience as a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with license in good standing
