Supervise mentor and provides professional role modeling for Red Cross volunteers, high school students and Occupational Therapy School applicants. Assist in teaching and assisting other healthcare workers and volunteers to perform selected rehabilitative treatment techniques. Qualifications ? Graduate of an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Degree Program or be a graduate of the US Army Medical Department Center and Schools Occupational Therapy Specialist Program ? Must have a minimum of two (2) years current experience and experience treating orthopedic/work rehabilitation and traumatic brain injury conditions in an in/out patient setting. Current experience is defined as having worked in direct occupational Therapy patient care within the past five (5) years. ? Valid/Current certification by National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy and State License if applicable ? Minimum of 1 year experience working with a combination of musculoskeletal, psychosocial, cognitive, visual and work related impairments ? Substantiated attendance of at least 8 hours of continuing education occupational therapy specialties during the previous 12 months. ? A minimum of 8 hours of Occupational Therapy continuing education are required to enhance competencies and augment professional skills.
