Job Title: *CERT OCCUP THERAPY ASSISTANT Company: Peace Health Location: Bellingham, WA Description: Provide occupational therapy treatments for acute care and inpatient rehab patients. Follow OT treatment plans and work with a number of occupational therapists. Work with a variety of diagnoses including medical, trauma, surgical, orthopedic, neurologic. Leads group exercise class for clients daily. Trains staff and clients in safe techniques for transfer, ambulation and use of assistive devices. Functions as primary caseworker for assigned participants to develop and implement individual care plans and goals in conjunction with the RN Care Manager. Contributes toward the realization of the Inpatient Therapy vision and PeaceHealth mission and values. Required Specifications: Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Two year Associate Degree. Continuing education to maintain current knowledge and skills. License/Certification: Current CPR certification required.
