There is no guarantee of hours worked. This position is NOT eligible for benefits. Salary Scale: Scale starts at $24.16. Placement within the scale is dependent upon years of work experience. The salary scale is reviewed on an annual basis for market comparison and may change with the market.Sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment to be used in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness. Active member of the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC) is preferred. Qualifications
Experience Requirements
Minimum: 1 year Experience as a Pulmonary Function Test Technician.
Preferred: 2 years Experience as a Pulmonary Function Test Technician.
Knowledge Requirements
Minimum: Intermediate Experience in pulmonary function lab performing Pulmonary Function Tests.
Preferred: Basic or limited Experience in pulmonary function lab performing complete diagnostic studies, including, complete spirometry, DLCO (Diffusing Capacity of the Lung for Carbon Monoxide), Body Plethysmography.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Vocational School/Certificate Program of a 2 year Respiratory Therapy program.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy or science-related degree. Additional education in pulmonary diagnostic testing.
Certification Requirements
Minimum: Required at time of hire Current WA State RCP, Certified Pulmonary Function Tech. (CPFT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), and current BLS Certification.
