Occupational Therapy Assistant Description These members of our team perform a variety of functions which involve carrying out provided treatment plans, working in a cooperative effort with the OT on each patient and notifying the OT of patient status change. Caseloads vary in number and diagnosis. To serve in this position, a person is expected to have a two year Associate of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy, and NBCOT certification or eligibility for certification, licensure in applicable states, accuracy, dependability and discretion with regard for confidentiality, the ability to transfer/lift 150 lbs., the ability to demonstrate and exercise the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age/type of the patients served.
