This is a full-timeacute care/orthopedicsposition.The Physical Therapist evaluates, plans, delegates, and delivers patient care procedures upon referral from a physician. They are responsible for care to patient of all ages (as their competency allows), documentation, and charging these patients appropriately and according to department PP. The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care to individuals of all ages (neonatal to geriatric) as the caseload demands. Age appropriateness and clinical competency will be assessed as part of the therapists competency assessment. The Physical Therapist participates in educational programs and performs non-patient care duties as assigned. The Physical Therapist has constant contact with other departmental employees (Piedmont Therapy staff), other hospital employees, patients and their families, physicians, nursing personnel and other physician office services, nurse practitioners, rehab case managers, and employers on a regular basis. Occasional contact with therapy services outside FRMC - such as across state referrals etc. may occur. A daily average of 7 hours of productive direct patient care is expected. Physical Therapists are expected to provide care in areas as the needs arise. Flexible hours will be manned to provide for late evening and weekend demands on an as needed basis, and each therapist will be expected to accommodate these demands as they arise.
