General Summary: The Physical Therapist organizes, conducts and oversees medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs in the Physical Therapy Department to improve patient function and prevent disability following disease or injury. Maintains standards of patient care by reviewing documentation written by PTA's in the medical record and by demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary in providing care from the young adult to geriatric population. Adapts or modifies techniques as needed (especially in regards to: positioning, limitations in joint range, arthritic conditions, decreased balance, decreased endurance, degeneration, integumentary defects and previous functional levels).
