Job Title: Physical Therapy Technician - Ft Company: The George Washington University Hospital Location: Washington, DC Description: Fulfills the needs of patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks under the supervision of a licensed professional in accordance with regulatory requirements. Prepares patients and equipment for therapists and assist staff in administering services. Prepares patients for therapy by assisting with undressing, dressing, positioning on equipment, etc. Applies dressings, under supervision, using aseptic techniques. Provides limited patient services such as crutch-walking exercises, ADL training programs, etc., under direct supervision from a licensed therapist. Prepares therapy equipment such as hydrotherapy tanks, paraffin bath, hot packs, etc. Maintains a clean and safe environment by maintaining linen supply, cleaning equipment, and arranging for necessary repairs. Cleans equipment, storage areas, cabinets, treatment mats, etc. Requirements High School degree or equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary Certifications - Current certification of Basic Life Support for Health Care Professionals Knowledge of medical terminology
