Job Title: Pulmonary Function Technologist Program/Lead Company: Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Location: Bel Air, MD Description: Pulmonary Function Technologist Program/LeadDepartment: Outpatient Pulmonary FunctionJob Code: 6074Schedule: Part-timeShift: Day and EveningHours: 24 Hrs Bi-weekly/7a-7:30pJob Details: Leads the activities of the Pulmonary Function Program and acts as a resource for UCH and community in Pulmonary Function services. Assists in the development and marketing of pulmonary function services for UCH. Primary focus is to perform job tasks at HMH Pulmonary Function Lab and Respiratory Therapy Department but may perform job tasks in the ambulatory care center and inpatient acute care setting at UCMC as needed. Performs all aspects of pulmonary function diagnostic procedures following departmental protocols. Diagnostic testing is delivered in a scientific, contemporary manner consistent with the patient disease state, cognitive abilities and age needs. Provides care to patient populations ranging from school age to the geriatric patient population.INTERNAL ONLYQualifications: Must be recognized by the NBRC as either a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT), or recognized by the National Board for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Credentialing as a Registered Pulmonary Technologist (RCPT). A minimum of one year recent PFT testing within the past three years highly preferred. The incumbent may require up to one (1) month of orientation or mentorship to gain specific competency to perform the job.
