Job Title: Recreation Therapist Cc Company: Location: Bethesda, MD Description: The successful applicant will provide Recreation Therapy (RT) services for the nation's Clinical Research Center, a 250 bed biomedical research hospital, which treats inpatients and outpatients. Diagnostic populations include cancer, arthritis, neurological disorders, infectious diseases, and heart, lung and blood diseases.  Assesses referred patients and develop and implement individual treatment plans; monitors progress throughout the course of hospitalization, revising the plan when necessary and develop discharge plans for patients. Conducts outcome projects that measure patient endpoints to improve treatment services. Maintains productivity records. Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary patient care team, attending care-plan meetings, case conferences and other appropriate staff meetings. Serves as a mentor for the RT intern program and supervises volunteers as assigned.
