The Registered Respiratory Therapist performs therapeutic, diagnostic and supportive respiratory care procedures. The RRT will provide services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. Evaluates physician orders and clinical data related to respiratory care of patients. Assess patients respiratory status, effectiveness of therapy, and recommends modification as needed. The RRT will perform tasks and duties within their approved scope of service, following established policies and procedures, and in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations/laws. Should be able to provide advanced clinical expertise and education. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative skills are inherent in this position. Must be proficient in the treatment of, and knowledge of all types of respiratory disorders, and must be able to utilize various types of media for therapy (mechanical ventilation, nebulizers, CPT, etc.) Qualified candidates must possess: Must be licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Successfully completed an AHA CPR Certification in basic life support; ACLS preferred Graduate of a two (2) year AMA approved Respiratory Care Program or equivalent (RRT credential) Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate clinical experience in Respiratory Care is required Two years of Critical Care experience is highly preferred to include CVICU experience We could list out our comprehensive benefits programs, but instead we have three words for you: Location, location, location!
