Job Title: Occupational Therapist-Rehab Program Manager-Acute Care setting Company: CriticalConnection Location: Washington, DC Description: Plans, directs, manages and coordinates the activities of the program/section/clinic in accordance with overall department objectives and under the general direction and guidance of the direct supervisor. Manages, supervises and facilitates development of all staff in respective disciplines. Provides direct patient care including assessment, goal setting, treatment, education monitoring, documentation, discharge planning, and communication. Communicates effectively with various audiences: outside contacts, medical staff, administration, care team members, and patients, families and students. Demonstrates advance communication skills necessary for effective problem solving, conflict resolution and facilitating group interactions to achieve desired outcomes. Performs administrative responsibilities as assigned by supervisor (e.g. compliance with hospital policies, JCAHO/CARF and other regulatory entities). Represents the dept./program/clinic in operating unit and system initiatives. Participates in marketing efforts designed for the dept/program/clinic Basic job duties: ? Responsible for day to day operations of 16 bed acute rehabilitation unit including internal admissions ? Manages staff of 9 (2 PTs, 2 OTs, 1 SLP, 1 SW, 1 marketer, 1 rehab tech, 1 admin assistant) including mid-year and annual performance evaluation ? Oversees performance improvement initiatives, outcomes systems, program development, regulatory compliance ? Reports to Director of Rehab Services, works closely with medical director of rehab unitdf-nj
