Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, fun, and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our small but busy outpatient practice, located inside a fitness center. We pride ourselves on personalized care, private treatment rooms, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere for both staff and patients.

Our clinic offers advanced techniques including Dry Needling, Graston, Cupping, Shock Wave, and more — alongside traditional therapies such as gait training, balance work, manual therapy, and modalities. We also provide private performance training for weekenders, high school, college, and professional athletes.

Duties

  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.

  • Conduct therapy sessions including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.

  • Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.

  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Participate in discharge planning for smooth patient transitions.

  • Stay current with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in physical therapy.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a PTA (temporary/pending licenses accepted).

  • Knowledge of therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, and home health preferred.

  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes and medical terminology is advantageous.

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

  • Compassion, empathy, and strong patient care skills.

  • Physical stamina to perform tasks involving lifting or moving patients.
