As a Physical Therapist (PT) at Westfields Hospital & Clinic, you will perform comprehensive assessment of therapy patient, develop a plan of care, perform treatment as indicated, assess patient's response to treatment, and assist with discharge planning. Duties include:

  • Utilizes exercises, manual therapy, modalities, and education to improve the patient's overall mobility, pain, and functional ability.
  • Provides education related to the treatment program, disease process, and prevention of further injuries to the patient, family/caregiver, and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Evaluates inpatient and outpatient physical therapy patients.
  • Establishes a plan of care and implement treatment, including exercise, manual therapy, modalities, and education
  • Reassesses response to treatment, altering plan of care as necessary, to optimize a patient's mobility, pain, and functional abilities
  • Assists in discharge planning process
  • Documents on electronic health system in a timely manner
  • Communicates with referring practitioner, nursing unit, and other departments when appropriate
  • Completes continuing education requirements, and provides staff in-service of material learned

Work Schedule:

  • Schedule varies based on department's needs with one weekend rotation required per month.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current physical therapist license in the State of Wisconsin
  • BLS Certification
  • ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years of previous physical therapy experience
  • Experience in EPIC computer system
