Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Inpatient) $2500 Sign-On Bonus

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) I will assist the Occupational Therapists in execution of therapy programs for persons with neuromotor dysfunction (i.e. children/teens with disorders of the brain, spinal cord, and musculoskeletal system). The COTA will assist the OTRs to deliver high quality care with goal of facilitating functional independence and occupational engagement to resume family, school and community life following the IP rehab admission. The COTA will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training/clinical programs, may assist with clinical supervision of COTA students, and therapy aides, and will maintain appropriate patient records .

• *Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by KKI.
• *Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.
• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• CPR certification

EDUCATION:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Certificate from AOTCB with successful completion of national registration exam.
• Eligible for license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Maryland.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in pediatrics and/or rehabilitation and treatment preferred.
