Kona Kai Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are excited to welcome a new Massage Therapist to our island-inspired resort.

As a member of the Spa Team, your friendly, nurturing demeanor will allow you to provide our guests with the ultimate spa experience. We are looking for new team members who excel in their trade and thrive on creating a transcendent guest experience.

To be successful in the Massage Therapist position:

Must have a certified massage therapist Education/License valid in California

Must be focused on Customer Experience

Must have Physical Strength and Endurance (strong hands and good upper body strength)

Must have a desire to help those in need of therapeutic massage

Must have a nurturing attitude

Must have great communication which involves both speaking and listening

Must have good time management skills

Must have integrity and be empathic to others

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain positive guest relations at all times

Perform various therapeutic massages with a smile

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of work areas

Maintain complete knowledge at all times of all resort features/services, hours of operation, and resort amenities

Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be licensed in CA to perform massages

Previous customer service experience preferred

Positive, upbeat personality, works well on a team, desire to learn and able to multi-task

Hours will vary therefore a flexible schedule is required.

Main scheduled days will be Saturday and Sunday in the evening (beginning at 2pm)

Must be available to work weekends

Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing massage therapy services in a spa, wellness center, or similar environment.

Strong knowledge of various massage techniques, modalities, and their benefits.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with clients and colleagues.
