JOB SUMMARY:

The occupational therapist assistant is responsible for traveling to various home settings to plan and implement prescribed occupational therapy activities based on diagnosis and objective assessment given by the physician. Create a occupational therapy program designed to aid patients in reaching their maximum functional ability, highest level of independence, and/or a reduced level of pain, injury, or disability. You will be working and traveling within the South Orlando area, including but not limited to: Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Poinciana, and Celebration areas.

JOB TYPE: PRN, HOURLY

Requirements

• Have an active and cleared licensed as a occupational therapist assistant issued in the State of Florida.
• Have at least one year of Home Care experience with little to no supervision.
• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science or obtained a Master of Science degree from an accredited school of occupational therapy.
• Must function independently with flexibility and personal integrity while working effectively with residents, staff and visitors with residents, staff and visitors.
• Have experience in long-term care; knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations; and knowledge of Medicare regulations and reimbursement requirements.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and stabilize patients during exercise sessions.
