Overview: The Government is seeking contractor personnel to provide various medical support services in support of the Mobilization Force Generation Installation (MFGI) at the Soldier Readiness Processing Center at Ft. Bliss, TX. Medical Support Staff will provide comprehensive medical assessments, treatments and readiness processing for troops being mobilized for deployment. The Audiology Technician will support audiologists in delivering high-quality hearing care services to patients of all ages . This role involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Assist audiologists in conducting hearing assessments, including pure-tone audiometry, tympanometry, and speech testing.
- Prepare patients for tests and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Operate and maintain audiometric equipment and ensure its calibration and functionality.
- Collect and document patient histories and results in electronic health records.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and perform general office duties as needed.
- Educate patients about hearing health, prevention, and available treatment options.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an occupational hearing conservationists’ course or show evidence of training and certification obtained through the Army, Navy, or Air Force hearing programs.
- Certification as a Hearing Conservationist by the Council of Accreditation of Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOCH) is highly desired but not required .
- Possess a minimum of one year's experience within the last three years working as a full-time Audiology Technician.
- Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. (American Red Cross or American Heart Association only!); Note: BLS recertification shall be maintained in a current status at all times
Security Clearance Requirements:
- An active Secret Clearance is required .
