  • Shift Hours: 7:00AM - 3:00PM
  • Shift: Days

The Supervisor Respiratory Care is proficient in all aspects of Respiratory Care and possesses the ability to utilize effective management skills.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Supports the Respiratory Care Manager in a supervisory capacity, managing team member and patient care issues as well as physician concerns.
  • Assists the manager with hiring, performance review, coaching, counseling and termination. Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing, team member competency and policy review.
  • Ensures regulatory requirements are met and establishes goals for process improvement.
  • Acts as a role model for others
  • Reports to a Manager over multiple departments or multiple campuses. Has greater than 10 direct reports.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Certifications and Licensures Required:

  • RRT (Respiratory Therapy License)
  • Active NBRC Credential for RRT
  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
  • NRP (Neonatal) - within 6 months
  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) - within 6 months
  • PALS (Pediatric) - Preferred

Education Required:

  • Technical Respiratory Therapy
  • Associate's Respiratory Therapy - Preferred

Experience Required:

  • Acute Care / Respiratory

Specific Skills Required:

  • NICU and Pediatric experience is preferred.
  • Clinical skills appropriate to position
  • Computer skills appropriate to position
  • Collaborate and work with a team
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Advanced Respiratory Assessment and Evaluations
