Performs administrative, supervisory, and direct mental health services work in the County's Division of Victim Services. Provides primary prevention and treatment to crime victims and their families who are experiencing emotional/behavior difficulties as a result of trauma experiences from exposure to crime. Plans, coordinates, and supervises therapy services provided by Victim Services Licensed Therapists and interns. Provides independent professional-level individual/family/group therapy services to crime victims. Liaises with criminal justice/community service agencies. Work is reviewed through conferences, reports, and the effectiveness of services provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health Counseling; minimum of three (3) years of experience with individual, family, and group counseling or psychotherapy for children/adolescents, including one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Necessary Special Requirements: Must possess a valid FL License as a Clinical Social Worker/Mental Health Counselor/Marriage and Family Therapist/Psychologist at time of application (COPY of License must be uploaded to online application within three [3] business days of application submittal). Must successfully complete Office of Attorney General (OAG) Victim Practitioner Certification and Florida Council Against Sexual Violence (FCASV) Rape Crisis Certification within 11 months of hire and maintain certifications as a condition of employment.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE: Supervising licensed therapists; overseeing/supervising interns; conducting in-service/ongoing staff training (must specify on application); monitoring therapy professionals' caseloads. Also desirable: Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
