We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Red Lake Falls, MN. This role offers the opportunity to work in a school-based setting, assisting students in developing the skills needed for everyday life, improving their independence, and helping them achieve their academic and social goals.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of individualized therapy plans as developed by the Occupational Therapist.
Provide direct therapy services to students to improve motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' goals and progress.
Document therapy services and track student progress, making adjustments as needed.
Help students engage in activities that promote learning and skill development.
Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment and equipment.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance.
Active COTA certification in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain).
Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Passion for helping children improve their functional independence and quality of life.
