Summary:

Provides clinical mental health services including: patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation and individual, family, couples and/or group therapy. Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team, to provide comprehensive biopsychosocial care to patients of Summa Health System.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Formal Education Required:

a. Master's Degree in Social Work or Related Field.

b. Active Licensed Independent Social Worker

1. Experience & Training Required:

a. Three (3) years of experience in the outpatient therapy setting.

b. Demonstrated competency in conducting diagnostic assessment, and ongoing therapy with the adult outpatient population.

c. Demonstrated experience in creation of effective and appropriate treatment plans, documentation of services provided and consistent communication with other providers.

d. Demonstrated experience with managed care reimbursement including utilization review and appropriateness of care concepts.

1. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:

a. Ability to effectively interact with diverse populations of patients/customers from a variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

1. Level of Physical Demands:

a. Sedentary: Exerts up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
