POSITION PURPOSE:
The Staff Physical Therapist evaluates and treats hospital inpatients, outpatients, Home Health patients, and residents of the hospital's Long-Term Care unit according to the professional standards of the American Physical Therapy Association.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
The Staff Physical Therapist position requires a degree from an accredited university recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association. One or two years of experience is preferred. Current Alaska Physical Therapy license and C.P.R. certification are mandatory.

ENVIRONMENT :
The South Peninsula Hospital is currently a 22-bed acute care facility with an attached 28-bed LTC Facility. Physical demands are moderate and may require heavy lifting, periods of prolonged standing, and the ability to assist patients as needed. Working hours are 07:00 to 17:30(or 10-hour day) and rotational weekends for treatment of specific patients. Duties are performed in a clean, safe, barrier-free department.
