Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our K-12 school team full-time near Rifle, CO. This is an exciting opportunity to support students' development and independence while working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in a collaborative school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
Assist the Occupational Therapist in assessments and documentation
Support student development in fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living tasks
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
Maintain accurate therapy records and contribute to team meetings
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Active Colorado COTA license or eligibility
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Preferred:
Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
Knowledge of IEPs and special education services
