The respiratory therapist is responsible for assisting, evaluating, and maintaining quality patient care, from infants to elderly; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families. The respiratory therapist should maintain a positive working relationship with his/her staff as well as Physicians, LIP's and ancillary departments.
Will be held accountable to the following Studer Philosophies and Principles:
HCAPS Patient Perception
Hourly Rounding with intention.
Bedside Shift Report.
AIDET.
Daily Huddles.
FUNCTIONS
Essential and nonessential functions duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Minimum Education
Graduate from an Approved Respiratory Therapy School.
Required Licenses [Kentucky, United States] Respiratory Therapists
Must hold current license by the state of Kentucky as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
Proven strong clinical skills and strong communication skills.
Required Experience
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of two years' experience in the field of pulmonary and/or rehabilitation preferred.
BLS certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications or with in 6 months of employment.
