This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: Purpose**The Speech-Language Pathologist performs direct instruction andconsultative duties which enhance speech-language proficiency,communicative effectiveness and academic success of identified students.**Duties and Responsibilities**- Evaluate and identify specific speech and/or language deficits of referred students in the district.- Prepare and submit accurate and appropriate evaluations, screenings, and reports in a professional and timely manner.- Design goals, objectives and timelines for appropriate school-related speech-language therapy services for eligible students.- Provide quality evidence-based therapy to address individualized student goals.- Collaborate with regular classroom teachers, special education teachers, other classroom staff, and related service providers in the development of a variety of strategies to meet the educational needs of their students.- Management of Speech-Language Pathology consultative and direct therapy services at respective school sites.- Participation in required meetings and maintain a positive professional manner with students, parents, and staff.- Maintain confidentiality standards as defined by local, state and federal rules and regulations.- Adherence to district policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and professionalism.- Ensure student and staff safety by adhering to and reviewing safety policies and procedures.- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants according to state licensing requirements when assigned.**Other Duties**Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain acomprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that arerequired of the employee for this job. It does not involve solving the problem, onlyrecognizing that there is a problem.**Work Environment****Inside**: Offices, School Buildings.**Outside**: Outdoor Facilities.**Indoor/Outdoor**: Travel from location to location.**Occasional Travel**: For required training or professional development(In district, out of district, in state, and/or out of state).Possibly exposed to extremes of temperature. Occasionally subjected toextreme noise, odors, mists, dust and poor ventilation.**Physical Requirements**The position requires frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling,speaking, turning, grasping and carrying items over 40 lbs.
