The clinical lead may serve as a clinical resource for all staff in the areas of their clinical expertise. The clinical lead provides leadership, support, and assistance in daily site management and operational tasks, quality improvement, program development, professional development, and research, as determined by the needs of the site, discipline, and department. The Clinical Lead position is 20 percent administrative and 80 percent clinical care. Patient populations are primarily neurological; including patients post stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury, but also include patients with multi-trauma and amputations. Physical therapists function as an essential member of therapy and multidisciplinary teams providing direct care to patients and collaborating with other team members on discharge planning and teach and prepare patients/families and caregivers for continued care after discharge. The physical therapist may be involved in consultative services within Fletcher Allen Health Care and in the community. The physical therapist demonstrates dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of patient care. EDUCATION: Bachelor's of Science or higher degree from an Accredited Physical Therapy program. Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Vermont. EXPERIENCE: Three years of relevant clinical experience as a staff therapist and demonstration of leadership skills.
