Faculty Specialist I - Clinical Specialist - Occupational Therapy - Terminal 1 Year Appointment

Western Michigan University invites applications for the position of Faculty Specialist I, Occupational Therapy. The position is non-tenure with a yearly review and opportunities for advancement.

Major Duties

• Teach courses relevant to the candidate's expertise offered to students enrolled in the occupational therapy bachelor's and doctorate degree programs.
• Work with the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator to support students' Level I and II fieldwork.
• Mentor and advise students.
• Participate in curricular revisions and support the assessment of student learning.
• Provide service to the department, the college, the university, and the community.
• Participate in inter-professional teaching and service.

Minimum Qualifications

• OTD, Ed.D, or Ph.D. preferred; exceptional applicants with a master's degree will be considered.
• At least two years of clinical experience as a licensed practitioner.
• Experience in teaching course content or providing guest lecture in higher education.
• Experience supporting students in their fieldwork.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, teaching strategies, and assessment of student learning.
