Music Therapist

Shodair is expanding our Allied Therapy department by adding a Music Therapist!

As a Music Therapist, you will plan, organize, and direct medically approved music therapy programming for children and adolescents at Shodair.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES

• The music therapist will provide music therapy using various elements to meet the needs of patients and to assist them in meeting their treatment goals.
• The music therapist should be skilled in the use of musical modalities to complement therapy programs.
• This position is part of a larger Allied Therapy department which requires all staff to be trained in facilitation on the ropes course and as a shallow water lifeguard.
• The music therapist will provide both group and individual sessions with Shodairs patients.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

Bachelors degree in music therapy and be board certified with The Certification Board for Music Therapists.
