The Speech-Language Pathologist is an essential role in our facility; They must work together with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement the highest possible levels of care for our residents. This position encompasses all aspects of speech and language pathology; including assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and ongoing review. Professional competency and viable experience is required for this position. A qualified Speech Language Pathology (SLP) candidate will have to comply with the following responsibilities listed below, as well as meet the following requirements listed below.

Key Responsibilities
Job duties include but are not limited to,
- Screening short- and long-term residents, evaluating and interpreting data and determining relevant treatment plans.
- Setting goals in conjunction with interdisciplinary team members. Appropriately document progress and status.
- Re-evaluating care plans based on new and emergent conditions, as well as resident progress.
- Responding to individualized requests and making referrals, as needed
- Training family or caregivers, as needed.
- Preform audits as directed
- Attend meetings as directed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Active License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
- Experience in Geriatrics preferred.
- Must be able to thrive in a team environment.
