Utilize art media, the creative process, and the resulting artwork to help adult and pediatric patients and families to explore their feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior, develop social skills, reduce anxiety and increase self esteem in the hospital environment,
Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care, unit and environmental tasks,
EDUCATION
Masters degree in art therapy required,
EXPERIENCE
Successful completion of on an art therapy internship program,
Experience with children, preferably in the healthcare setting,
CERTIFICATION
Art Therapist Registered or Board Certified preferred upon hire,
Required within 12 months of employment,
Start date April, 2025
