As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in our skilled nursing facility, you will play a vital role in providing specialized respiratory care and support to our residents. You will assess, treat, and manage residents with a wide range of cardiopulmonary conditions, ensuring their comfort, optimizing their respiratory function, and improving their overall quality of life. Your expertise in administering respiratory therapies & monitoring patient responses will be essential in delivering exceptional patient-centered care within our long-term care setting.

Cherrelyn Healthcare Center, a Stellar Senior Living Community, is a 176-bed skilled nursing facility located in Littleton, CO. We have been operating for over 50 years and are looking for an individual to continue the tradition of the best in care for our residents.

Requirements:

• Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado. Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential.
• Must possess, as a minimum, an associate degree from an accredited school.
• Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting.
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
• Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC).

Responsibilities:

• Receives and follows schedule/instructions for resident care as assigned from the director of nursing and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Performs focused interview to identify specific resident needs.
• Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the residents condition and notifies supervisor and documents in PCC.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential diagnoses, coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and documents in resident electronic chart (Point Click Care/PCC).
• Works with the nursing team assigned as primarily responsible for the resident. Communicates with the physician as needed and ensures communication of resident care needs is electronically documented.
• Complies with PHI and HIPAA policies regarding any disclosure of resident status.
• Plans for outcomes of care for those residents assigned.
• Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the community policies and adheres to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures of the community.
• Promotes and participates in activities to facilitate effective interpersonal communications.
• Reports changes in the residents respiratory status to the Directors of Nursing and Respiratory Care.
• Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel.
