Position Description
This position is responsible for providing personal mental health counseling and crises mental health counseling to the VCSU community, provide education programming on social issues and prevention education on mental health topics. Assist with website design and office publications. Counselor must be able and willing to work after hours, during an emergency and/or crisis event, develop and deliver mental health program for Residence Life staff and/or residents and VCSU community members. Candidate may have opportunity to teach as an adjunct faculty.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical counseling or related field and a minimum of one year of experience working in the counseling profession. North Dakota Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or North Dakota Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or license eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a college counseling center. Three years providing mental health counseling services. Familiarity with the North Dakota University System. Experience of delivering mental health education programs and adhering to the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Exceptional organizational skills, including ability to multi-task; excellent ability to interact and serve individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups; effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Compensation
$49,000 - 53,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
