Occupational Therapist (OT) - Outpatient

Insight Global is looking for an Outpatient Occupational Therapists to join one of our healthcare clients to support their Rehabilitation Department in Henderson, NC. This person will complete evaluations, treatments, and discharges for patients in an outpatient rehab setting. They will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (Geriatric, Orthopedic, and Neurology) of providers to provide optimal patient care across a variety of diagnosis.
Provides quality and timely documentation reflecting medical necessity and patient progression towards goals.
Submission of insurance prior authorizations as required. Independently manages busy caseload, asking for assistance and direction when needed. This candidate will work with Lead Occupational Therapist for development of weekend, holiday, and vacation schedule. Coverage to be provided as determined by Lead Occupational Therapist.
Works alongside other rehab staff (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathologists, Athletic Trainers, Rehab Techs, and front office staff) in a 1:1 patient ratio to ensure patient treatments are completed and other departmental, hospital and patient needs are met.
Ensures compliance with licensing requirements, continuing education, and documentation requirements (including CMS, Joint Commission, Medicaid, etc.)

Acute Care Experience in Geriatrics/Pelvic Heath/Orthopedics

Team-Player: Willing to cover Inpatient/Acute Care if needed
Bachelor's Degree Required
Currently Licensed in State of North Carolina (North Carolina Occupational Therapist License)
Neurology Experience (Open to training new grads in an area that they want to specialize)
BLS (though American Health Association) * required within 30 days of hire
