Summary of Position:#Provides expert rehab care to patients when assigned to clinic hours.# Provides leadership to a clinical teams or is a site leader overseeing a RTC outpatient location. # Primary Job Responsibilities:# Provides services primarily in the area of clinical expertise, usually up to 80% of the workday; adheres to all policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.# Provides services using age appropriate techniques and/or approaches. Consults with other members of the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate therapeutic programs and acts as a resource regarding issues pertaining to clinical expertise; acts as interdisciplinary team leader as required.# Educates patient/resident and/or caregivers about evaluation findings and patient#s/resident#s rehabilitation potential, and involves the patient/resident and caregivers in the establishment of treatment goals and methods of treatment.# Prepares written reports for the medical record according to established guidelines on evaluation results, progress in and reaction to, and discharge from services provided.# Prepares written reports and daily charges according to established RTC guidelines and to facilitate payment for services.# Assists in the development of programs pertaining to clinical expertise, including the development of new techniques, establishment of treatment protocols, investigation of funding sources, etc# Provides training in clinical area of expertise to Regional Therapy Center, the hospital, and medical staff.# Advises Regional Therapy Center management regarding clinical competency of staff when requested.# Represents Regional Therapy Center to the organization and the community, and serves as a resource or consultant to employers, educational institutions and community organizations. Perform operations responsibilities as assigned. May be a team leader or clinic leader and over see day to day operations of a location. Submits required statistical and operational information for reports as assigned or requested. Actively directs and provides oversight of therapy assistants and students by maintaining responsibility for the plan of care and ensuring that policies, procedures and applicable laws are followed and that quality patient care is provided.# If assigned to provide direct supervision to others, does so in an appropriate and effective manner. Participates in the Regional Therapy Center Professional Advancement Program as required.# Score as determined by completed Professional Advancement Program Record. Participates in the quality assurance and continuous quality improvement program as assigned. Assists patient through-put by maintaining clinic appearance and readiness, assisting others, ensuring availability of clinical supplies and forms and demonstrating a personal routine for job performance which facilitates increased productivity, as evidenced by three units billed per clinic hour worked. Minimum Qualifications:#Bachelor or master#s degree or doctorate in occupational therapy or physical therapy, or a master#s degree in speech-language pathology. A minimum of 5 years of licensed experience is required. # Certifications / Licensure:#Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State as an occupational therapist, physical therapist, or speech-language pathologist.# # # Salary Range: $40.57 - $54.61 Pay Grade: RT3 Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
