Neuro Rehabilitation Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Neuro Rehabilitation Assistant to support patients with neurological conditions in their recovery journey. The successful candidate will work closely with therapists to deliver patient-centered care aimed at improving physical, cognitive, and functional abilities. Key Responsibilities: + Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities prescribed by licensed therapists. + Support mobility training, including walking, transfers, and use of assistive devices. + Help implement therapy plans for cognitive, speech, or occupational rehab as instructed. + Monitor patient progress and promptly report any concerns to supervising clinicians. + Provide motivation, encouragement, and emotional support to patients. + Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and observations. + Ensure patient safety during all interactions and comply with infection control protocols. + Prepare therapy equipment and keep treatment areas clean and organized. + Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. Qualifications and Skills: + Certification or diploma in healthcare support, rehabilitation assistance, or related field (preferred). + Previous experience in neuro or physical rehabilitation (desirable but not always required). + Understanding of neurological conditions such as stroke, MS, TBI, Parkinson's, etc. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Physically capable of assisting patients with movement and exercise. + Reliable, empathetic, and able to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team. Work Environment: + Hospital, outpatient rehab center, or home/community-based settings. + May involve occasional travel between client sites (if in community roles). + Some evening or weekend shifts may be required depending on service needs.
