We are currently looking for a full-time Director ofRehab.We offer:* In-house rehab programs with collaborative workenvironments and supportive teams* Part of a network of nearly 200skilled nursing facilities* Continuing education and growthopportunitiesPosition Summary:The Director of RehabilitationServices directs the three rehab departments of physical,occupational, and speech therapy to ensure the highest quality ofrehab services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations,and Life Care standards.Education, Experience, and LicensureRequirements:* Active license in physical (BSPT, MSPT, DPT, orPTA), occupational (BSOT, MSOT, COTA), or speech (MA, MS, CCC SLP,or CFY SLP) therapy and meet the educational requirements asdefined in the job description for that license type* Currentlyregistered/licensed with applicable State. Must maintain an activelicense in good standing throughout employment.* Two (2) yearssupervisory experience in post acute care or related setting* CPRcertification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPRcertification must remain current during employment.Specific JobRequirements:* Liaisons with patients, families, supportdepartments, etc. to adequately plan for patient needs* Functionalknowledge of payer reimbursement* Functional knowledge of labormanagement and strategies* Functional knowledge of supply budgets*Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail* Exercise good bodymechanics at all times* Make independent decisions whencircumstances warrant such action* Knowledgeable of practices andprocedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelinesgoverning functions in the post acute care facility* Implement andinterpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and proceduresof the department* Perform proficiently in all competency areasincluding but not limited to: patient rights, and safety andsanitation* Maintains professional working relationships with allassociates, vendors, etc.* Maintains confidentiality of allproprietary and/or confidential information* Understand and followcompany policies including harassment and compliance procedures*Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life CaresCode of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and otherappropriate compliance trainingEssential Functions:* Recruit,select, hire, evaluate, train, counsel, and supervise Rehabdepartment staff* Oversee and evaluate care given by therapystudents* Direct the growth, development, and maintenance of rehabprograms* Function as staff therapist as caseload requires*Maintain appropriate staffing patterns as clinically indicated*Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately* Effectivelymanage department budget* Exhibit excellent customer service and apositive attitude towards patients* Assist in the evacuation ofpatients* Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance* Concentrateand use reasoning skills and good judgment* Communicate andfunction productively on an interdisciplinary team* Sit, stand,bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittentlyduring working hours* Read, write, speak, and understand theEnglish languageAn Equal Opportunity Employerby Jobble
