Certified Recreational Therapist - 40% PT Days - Adena Chillicothe

The Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist is responsible for direct patient care evaluating and treating a variety of individuals based upon setting. The successful candidate will exhibit strong customer service skills, clinical skills, and patient outcomes and must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development. Effective time management and teamwork skills are an essential quality that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the inpatient unit. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance, thereby assisting patients to attain their maximum level of functional independence within home and community.

Required Educational Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Major/Area of Concentration: accredited Therapeutic Recreation program.
Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - Must have or be able to test for and successfully complete certification within 6 months of hire. CPR - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Current Ohio drivers license and proof of insurance.
Preferred Experience: 1-2 years clinical experience.
