Respiratory Therapist or Nurse

Candidates are eligible for a $2000 gross sign on bonus to be paid after 60 days and another $2000 after 180 days of continuous employment

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for providing clinical patient services and support within 50 miles of the location.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts patient assessment per company policy and procedure and the physician s order
  • Maintains a complete listing of all current respiratory patients
  • Maintains documentation of all services provided and all work performed
  • Monitors ongoing function of highly technical respiratory equipment
  • Patient assessments
  • Provides in-home visits to patients
  • Provides initial and ongoing phone contacts with all respiratory patients
  • Provides patient education as applicable
  • Sets up all highly technical respiratory equipment
  • Supports orientation and training of other personnel at the direction of the Manager
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Some travel via automobile required to patient s home and meetings
  • Qualifications Credentials as a respiratory therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred but other medical credentials are acceptable (RN)
  • Valid driver s license in state of residence with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Must be licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the location
  • May be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by service area of location
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem-solving skills
  • Physical Demands Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Requires contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
  • Requires occasional lifting and transporting of patient equipment
  • Required to comply with company Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy
  • Medical Evaluation and Fit Testing Compliance in a timely manner
  • Annual Recertification
  • Keep face clean-shaven to ensure N95 Mask face-seal protection per OSHA guidelines
