Scope of Position
The staff occupational therapy assistant is responsible for treatment of sensory or motor deficits that impair the patient's mobility or functional performance of gross motor activities. The staff OT performs the initial evaluation of the assigned patient. The COTA is a member of the Rehabilitation Department and is an integral component of the interdisciplinary medical team that strives to return the patient to his/her highest level of functional independence.
Position Summary
The staff occupational therapy assistant treats all patients of assigned rotations, in addition to providing cross coverage of the department's other rotations and the Rehabilitation Division's other locations/sites as need dictates. This position works under the direct supervision of the Team Leader.
Minimum Qualifications
2-Year College Degree. Completion of approved education curriculum as an occupational therapy assistant State of Ohio licensure.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
