Join the team at For All Seasons, a well-respected, Non-Profit Behavioral Health and Rape Crisis Center serving Marylands mid-shore region. In this clinical role, you will work within the public school system within the counties of the Eastern Shore to provide behavioral health services to the students. As the School-Based Behavioral Therapist, you will work with the treatment team to promote wellness outcomes for your clients and make appropriate referrals to community resources when necessary. This clinician will also participate in regularly scheduled supervision and professional development opportunities through the Agency. **Duties/Responsibilities:**
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality therapeutic care that is appropriate to the age, diagnosis, developmental state, and mental status of individuals, families, and groups assigned to caseload.
- Assess the clients strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences; formulate a diagnostic impression based on current DSM criteria; and, in conjunction with the client, develop an individualized, person-centered treatment plan.
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, authorizations, and other chart-related documents and correspondence for assigned clients in a timely manner.
- Provide direct behavioral health services (i.e., psycho/social assessments, consultation, supervision, individual/group/ family therapy) at a minimum of 65% of allocated clinical hours according to the established annual standard.
- Participate in professional in-service training and community education services.
- Make necessary referrals to community resources and complete and file paperwork associated with referrals in chart.
- Participate in the treatment team to promote collaboration in developing strategies and interventions that promote wellness outcomes for all agency clients.
- Attend regularly scheduled supervision and prepare relevant case presentations, specific questions, ethical dilemmas, concerns, etc. to discuss with the direct supervisor.
- Maintain appropriate state license/registration/certification, which includes prescribed continuing education requirements for the professional licensing board.
- Communicate clinical concerns with your direct supervisor and CCO.
- Assists with establishing and maintaining a positive working relationship with leadership and team.
- Possess and apply time management skills, and ability to meet deadlines as assigned.
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
**Required Skills/Abilities:**
- Utilize culturally sensitive approaches to meet the diverse needs of clients.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to travel as assigned.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner with little supervision, and accept responsibility when necessary to see that the job gets done.
- Respond positively to changing situations or routines, manage yourself, and maintain a calm environment in crises.
- Prompt and on time for work, assignments, and meetings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Follow all HIPAA compliance and confidentiality policies and procedures in all areas of work under FAS policies and applicable laws.
- Ability to have a global perspective while maintaining day-to-day processes.
**Education and Experience:**
- Masters Level Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or equivalent; and
- Licensed in the State of Maryland.
