PRIMARY TASKS & MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Assist License Physical Therapist in all duties: plan, implement, and evaluate physical therapy needs in accordance with Special Education student Individual Educational Plan (IEP) goals and objectives. Evaluation; program planning; and program implementation. Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and Special Education team in program scheduling, identification and implementation of service delivery model, and parent contacts/meetings.
EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Assistant physical therapy certification. Prefer a minimum of three years as a practicing as a physical therapy assistant working with pre-school and school-age children. Other skills beneficial to this position assignment: Knowledge of the Special Education Process and laws, excellent organizational skills, oral and written skills, time management, telephone skills, computer knowledge, and assistive technology. Willingness to understand and support the District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education.
