Position Overview
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible and accountable for evaluation, coordination and administration of quality respiratory therapy services.The pay range for our RRT is $32-$34 per hour. Essential Job Functions
Provide respiratory therapy services as prescribed by the physician
Follow policies and procedures and conform to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws
Assist in securing treatment orders from physician
Generate, evaluate and update plan of care for all patients based upon needs
Documents patient response to therapy, patient condition, and changes in status
Routinely communicate with physician regarding continued efficacy of treatment
Routine set-up and maintenance of all respiratory therapy modalities
Provide in-services for nursing personnel
Participate in patient care conferences, staff meetings, and team conferencing
Reflect current knowledge of trends, research and recent advances in the respiratory care of the medically complex child
Maintain awareness of and complies with Company policy and procedures
Complete and maintain billing information. Submits on a timely basis

Requirements
Associates Degree
Certification as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Current and unrestricted license as an RRT in the state of practice
Current CPR certification
Current Basic Life Support certification
Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
One (1) year experience in pediatric/neonatal specialty
Additional state specific requirements:
Continuing Education as required by state

Preferences
Bachelors Degree
Pediatric experience

Physical Requirements
Must be able to speak, write, read and understand English
Must be able to travel
Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting
Must be able to sit and climb stairs
Must have visual and hearing acuity
Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance
Must be able to appropriately respond physically and mentally to emergency situations in the home or during transport

Environment
Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
