Position Highlights

Position Summary:

Responsible to set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases as ordered by physicians. As a member of the patient-focused care team, the respiratory therapist works collaboratively with other members to assure the safe and accurate delivery of care, maintaining the patients confidentiality at all times. In addition, the respiratory therapist performs a range of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics to comprehensively serve patient needs. Assumes, under the direction of the Laboratory, responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance.

Work Schedule:

12-hour shifts, D/N rotating, holidays, weekends

Education/Experience:

Graduate of a program recognized by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). Minimum of CRT certification requirements. Minimum of 2 years acute care experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Respiratory Therapists are required to have the current state license. Current BLS training required and ACLS certification required within twelve months of employment.
