Master's Degree, a valid Ohio Board of Speech - Language Pathology License, and a valid Ohio Department of Education certificate/license in Speech-Language Pathology. 2. Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred. DUTIES: 1. Reports directly to the Director of Special Education & Related Services and/or building Campus Leader. 2. Provides appropriate speech/language therapy to meet student needs across disability categories, age preschool through high school, and may include travel within the District. 3. Conduct evaluations to identify the nature and needs of the student. 4. Provide direct therapy services to help students improve their communication skills, including speech sounds, language comprehension, expression, voice, and fluency. 5. Assists in scheduling and conducting annual reviews and in developing the Individualized Educational plans for students with communication disabilities. 6. Collaborates with school personnel to develop appropriate classroom activities to reinforce services being provided to students by the speech-language pathologist. 7. Maintains appropriate procedural safeguard and records for all students receiving speech/language services including evaluations, treatment logs, IEPs and progress reports. 8. Recommend and train students and their families in the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. 9. Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and guidelines of the Warren City School District Board of Education. 10. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Director of Special Education & Related Services, Superintendent/CEO and/or designee. SALARY: Placement on Salary Table A - Speech Pathologist contingent upon degree and prior experience. Employment upon verification of BCI & FBI background checks, and all other pre-employment requirements are met.
