Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist with a strong sense of ethics and a passion for learning to join our Rehabilitation Services team!

As a regional health center, we strive to provide the best quality of care for our diverse, thriving Alaskan communities. Our therapists are often patient advocates that need to be able to think on their feet and collaborate with other providers and specialists in the hospital, major medical centers, and outlying communities.

All applicants must be willing to treat some inpatients and may be required to cover occasional weekends. We provide care for patients with neurological, orthopedic and general medical diagnoses, wounds, and the pediatric population. We are also building a pelvic floor rehabilitation program. We would love to find a therapist with pediatric, wound, or lymphedema training. We are also open to new graduates and the right person who is excited to learn and work in a dynamic, collaborative environment!

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist uses exercise and modalities in the treatment of pain and movement disorders to help restore normal movement and function in accordance to the physician's referral. Participates in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate.

Essential functions include but are not limited to supporting Bartlett Regional Hospital's strong commitment to the highest standards of business and professional ethics. Follows professional standards of APTA. Provides services in compliance with all state and federal laws governing the hospital's operations. Consistently maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other information, which might jeopardize the privacy of others. Works as a team member to meet patient and departmental goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an APTA approved School of Physical Therapy with a Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree. Completes annual educational requirements.

  • Preferred Experience: One (1) year of Physical Therapist experience. Experience working with diverse populations including inpatient CCU, acute, and rehab as well as outpatient services, including pediatrics.

  • License(s): Current State of Alaska Physical Therapist License

  • Other: Valid driver's license, current auto liability insurance and reliable transportation is required if assigned to Home Care Services.

Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.

External Hires: This position starts at $51.36 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
