Position Summary:

The Clinical Audiologist will be responsible for the assessment and diagnosis of hearing and balance disorders in patients. Identify and treat hearing loss, balance disorders and provide rehabilitation and counseling to patients.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include the Following:

  • Ability to conduct comprehensive audiologic evaluations from infancy to adulthood (CAE, tympanometry, etc.)
  • Demonstrates clinical competency in diagnostic ABR (both threshold and neuro) VEMP and ECoG testing
  • Demonstrates clinical competency in otoacoustic emissions testing and newborn hearing screening (both AABR and OAE)
  • Demonstrates clinical competency in vestibular function testing including VNG (VHIT testing a plus) and demonstrates ability to interpret and make appropriate recommendations
  • Ability to interpret diagnostic findings and relay appropriate counseling and recommendations to interdisciplinary team, family members, referring physicians, etc.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive cochlear implant evaluations and make appropriate recommendations
  • Competency in cochlear implant programming and follow up
  • Competency in Osseo integrated device programming
  • Collaborate with other audiologists and physicians as needed
  • Maintain equipment and supplies for designated site
  • Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned and required
  • Willingness to travel to other office sites as assigned and required

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Doctorate of Audiology required
  • New York State Hearing Aid Dispensing License
  • Current License to practice as an Audiologist in New York State, and Current Clinical Competence AUD (CCC-A) (ASHA) Certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital/ENT based setting preferred
  • Proficiency in EPIC a plus
