GENERAL

Position Overview

Responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician, as applicable. Coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (PTA). Participates in operational aspects of the facililty, maintains performance improvement activities and participates in CQI activities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Master's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy.

Experience

One (1) or more years of previous experience working with a variety of patients of all ages is preferred; previous experience with a variety of physical disabilities preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong reasoning/critical thinking skills; excellent time management, collaboration, prioritization and problem-solving skills; proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.

Licensure/Certification

Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas with renewal as required by law. Must have BLS.
