Theincoming Physical Therapy Assistant must have a good base knowledgeof orthopedic treatments, and a passion for manual therapy andquality patient care. Duties: --- Promote and maintain health by providing physical therapyservices under the supervision of a physical therapist. --- Contribute to a physical therapist's effectiveness byidentifying patient care issues. --- Administer treatment programs for patients. --- Document patient care services by charting in patientrecords. --- Evaluate abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapist'spatient evaluations and test results. --- Perform therapeutic procedures by administering manualexercises and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients inperforming physical activities, such as non-manual exercises,ambulatory functional activities, and daily living activities. --- Help patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches,canes, and prostheses. --- Instruct and counsel patients by describing therapeuticregimens and promoting wellness.
