Child Serve s talented, multi-disciplinary team of therapists specializes in pediatric rehab and works together to create plans specific to each childs need. In the role of Occupational Therapist , you will use play, therapeutic activities, and special techniques to improve self-cares, motor coordination, sensory processing, attention, and visual skills so children can be successful in their world. - Full Time
- Tuesday-Friday working between the hours of 8: 00am- 6:00 pm
- Complete all documentation according to Child Serve , AOTA, and third-party regulatory standards
- Develop individualized plan of care as appropriate to meet the needs of the child/caregiver
- Adapt communication styles to meet the needs of those involved in a childs care
- Confer with the interdisciplinary team, including the physician with developing, implementing, and revising the therapy plan of care based on initial and ongoing assessments
- Review medical, educational, social, and financial information on each client prior to assessment or initiation of treatment
- Participate in teaching and training other Child Serve staff including orientation, occupational therapy topics, and mentoring for students/interns
- Provide health information to third party payers as necessary to advocate and secure medically necessary services for client
- Provide accurate and timely billing and scheduling information to accounting, operations staff and Team Lead
- Participate in internal quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities
- Participate in community functions, marketing, and consultative services as needed
- Assist in the development of new clinical programs as assigned
- A degree from an AOTA approved occupational therapy program
- Preferred: Experience with pediatrics
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
